Three more cards are then revealed on the table which is called the flop. At this point a player must decide whether to call a raise or fold.

A good poker player will learn to read the other players at their tables and pick up on tells. These can be physical tells such as fiddling with their chips or a ring or emotional tells like smiling or muttering. They will also need to have a strong commitment to the game and be willing to spend time studying the game, its variants, rules and etiquette.
